David Jakubiak’s career spans more than 20 years in strategic communications and journalism working in the private and non-profit sectors. He has spent the last decade working in renewable energy at the cross section of policy, public relations and community engagement. In three years at Acciona Energy North America, he helped advance the development of more 1,000 MW of wind and solar projects in ERCOT and PJM.

David spent six years at the Environmental Law and Policy Center, where he provided media relations expertise across the Midwest. At ELPC, he worked with staff and local advocates to pursue strong renewable energy and clean water policies. David also worked in newspapers, most notably as an environmental reporter with the Hilton Head Island Packet (SC) and as a freelance music columnist for the Chicago Sun-Times. He is a graduate of the MSJ program at the Medill School at Northwestern University.
