Sheridan has a decade of experience in strategic communications consulting, marketing and public relations. She has worked with major corporations, non-profits and industry associations.
Trained as a journalist, Sheridan is the author of more than 1,000 print and broadcast stories for media including The Chicago Tribune, The Daily Herald and WGN-TV. She is the author of "Creating a Culture of Safety," Essential Issues for Leaders, Emerging Challenges in Healthcare, published by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.
After leaving journalism, Sheridan joined a public relations agency, providing counsel to small and mid-sized businesses, trade associations and professional services groups. During her seven year tenure, she was promoted from account executive to director of public relations, responsible for managing activities for retainer clients.
Prior to joining Aileron, Sheridan was director of marketing for a metropolitan Chicago homebuilder, where she marketed a residential real estate portfolio valued at more than $250 million. In that position, she received numerous awards from the Sales and Marketing Council of the Greater Chicago Homebuilders Association, including best web site (2005), best sales trailer (2005) and best corporate brochure (2004).
Sheridan received her Bachelor of Arts degrees in journalism and television from Columbia College in Chicago.
